PROMOTING VIETNAM-NIGERIA COOPERATION

President Võ Văn Thưởng assessed that Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani had a successful tenure in Vietnam; making a significant contribution to the promotion of the relationship between Vietnam and Nigeria.

On the afternoon of October 13, at the Presidential Palace, President Võ Văn Thưởng received Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Vietnam, who came to bid farewell at the end of his term of office in Vietnam. President Võ Văn Thưởng assessed that Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani had a successful tenure in Vietnam, making a significant contribution to the promotion of the relationship between Vietnam and Nigeria.

Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani expressed his sincere gratitude to President Võ Văn Thưởng for his kind words about his tenure as ambassador in Vietnam. He also expressed his gratitude for the support and cooperation of the relevant Vietnamese agencies for the activities of the embassy during this time.

Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani thanked the President for sharing important cooperation directions between the two countries. According to this, Nigeria and Vietnam are two countries with many similarities in terms of economy and trade, and have favorable conditions to promote cooperation in the field of agriculture. The two countries also maintain cooperation in multilateral issues at the United Nations. Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani expressed his belief that Nigeria will continue to work with Vietnam to further promote the effectiveness of cooperation between the two countries.

President Võ Văn Thưởng highly appreciated the results of cooperation between Nigeria and Vietnam in recent times, especially activities in the field of socioeconomic development. The President was also pleased to note and highly appreciated Nigeria's development achievements, especially in the areas of economy and society. He congratulated Nigeria on the successful completion of the elections and expressed his belief that with this result, the people of Nigeria will achieve even greater and more comprehensive development achievements.

President Võ Văn Thưởng affirmed that Vietnam consistently pursues an independent, self-determined foreign policy for peace, friendship, cooperation, and development, multilateralization, and diversification of foreign relations. Vietnam is a friend, a reliable partner, and an active and responsible member of the international community. Vietnam wants to further develop its relationship with Nigeria in all areas.The two sides need to strengthen exchanges, exchanges of delegations at all levels, promote further cooperation between ministries, departments, localities, and maintain exchanges and cooperation on issues in the region and the world.

President Võ Văn Thưởng expressed his belief that the time spent working in Vietnam would leave a lasting impression on the Ambassador. He also wished that, regardless of his position, the Ambassador would always remember Vietnam and its people and promote cooperation between the two countries.
